About Induction Products

What do I need to know before buying an induction ready product?

The most important is the diameter of the induction base which must be the same of the diameter of the cooking plate. If it is too big it will not be evenly heated and if it is too small it will not activate the induction cooktop. On the other hand, you will need thick, solid and non-warping cookware as it must be always in perfect contact with the cooking surface to activate it. Learn more

Why my cookware does not work in some cooking plates of my induction cooktop?

The induction base of the cookware must be the same of the diameter of the cooking plate in which is going to be used to activate it. When a cookware piece does not work a cooking zone is because its induction base is too small to be detected by the induction cooktop. You must use a product with a bigger induction base in this cooking zone.

Do I need to change my cookware if it doesn’t work correctly in my induction cooktop?

Not all induction cooktops work the same way. Less sophisticated ones can only be activated through a detector located in the outer edge of each cooking plate. For this reason, small and medium cookware, the most used ones, only work in one or two plates, because the biggest induction plates does not detect them. To avoid this problem, we recommend buying induction cooktops with multiple detectors in each cooking plate or even induction cooktops without cooking zones.

Stainless Steel Products Quick Facts

Don't use metal or sharp utensils

Avoid using metal or sharp utensils, since they could damage the surface of the pan. In order that the pan may retain its non-stick properties for longer, we recommend that you always use wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils.

Don’t leave cookware unattended

Never put an empty pan on the hob or leave it unattended as overheating may damage the surface and blacken the steel. It may also produce stains that can be removed with normal cleaning.

Avoid sudden changes of temperature

Do not start to cook at high temperatures. If you wish to brown food, preheat the pan to a medium or low temperature with a little oil or butter for 2-3 minutes and then add the ingredients. In this way, you will preserve the nutritional properties of the food and retain the original shine of the cookware. Only use a high temperature when boiling with a large volume of liquid.

Don’t use scourers, abrasive materials, bleach or chlorine to clean it

It is best to use water, a mild detergent and a non-abrasive sponge. We recommend drying the pans by hand to prevent rust from forming, although this can easily be removed with a special metal cleaner for cooking utensils. It can also be washed in a dishwasher, although over time its appearance may deteriorate. At all events, its functional properties will not be affected. Never use bleach or products that contain chlorine to clean this cookware, since they could corrode it or create small nicks or holes.
